Vegas Nails

It's true, Vegas nails should be all about the bling! I recently discovered while wearing the tuxedo nails that rhinestones drive me nuts. But I saw this idea on a nail supply website where you use regular temporary tattoos on your nails and thought it would be perfect! Each nail is unique and so I don't think I will get sick of it on the duration of the trip, I have something different to look at on each nail!
There are lots of pictures because I tried to capture images of both hands...

The base colour underneath is one coat of OPI Nicole 'You're a Star', it was just enough to add some shimmer and bring out the colour of the temporary tattoos. I covered each design with 2 coats of Seche Vite.

I couldn't really get a good pic of it, but that middle finger actually says 'Las Vegas'!

My favourite is the koi fish. Which one do you like?

Gambling With Polish

Hello!!

I am heading to Vegas next week and I have been searching for ideas for polish to wear. It has to be super awesome because I have to be able to look at it for 5 days and not get sick of it. (Could be tough!) I was trying some images out on Konad plate M48, the one with the gambling images. Is it just me, or are these images really hard to use in a nail design so it doesn't look silly?? I tried a few things and this is one of the only things that looked ok. I used the slot machine cherries across my smile line using Konad special polish in Red Wine (which I bought by accident because I thought it was black, woops).
I am thinking this isn't going to cut it. Any ideas ladies? Maybe with some glitter, or rhinestones hmmmm...

Pastel Clouds

Hi!
I went away for the weekend, but I'm back! While I was away I picked up Konad plate M79 and basically rushed home to try it.
The polish is Joe Fresh Style from the Superstore and it's called 'Faded Violet', it's so pretty, don't you think? It was good consistency and opaque after two coats. For some reasons the white and purple with the clouds reminded me of My Little Ponies! hahaha

Formal

Hello There!

I am going to a wedding this weekend and was searching for something that looked fancy and formal when I came across Konaddict's 'Black Tie' look. It was perfect. I would say that this is my version of it, but it's not, this is a blatant copy. Imitation is the best form of flattery, right? Click here to see Konnaddict's originals.
The silver I used for the tips is Avon Mirror Shine in Aluminium, the white and black are both Konad polishes. The tuxedo 'shirt' is from plate M71 (although I don't see why you couldn't use the stripe on M57) and the bows are M59 for all nails except for the pinkies because my nails were too skinny so I used the smaller bow on M56.

I LOVE it! Thank you, Konaddict!

Dainty

I just received my bundle monster plates and couldn't wait to play around a bit. There are so many neat designs but I settled on this pretty damask design to try out.
I used bundle monster plate BM20 and Konad white special polish. It's so pretty and lacy! I tried out some rainbow glitter on my other hand but it really did not turn out well in photos. I sort of like one hand sparkly and one hand plain. hee hee!

Hello Kitty Fauxnad

Living in Alberta, Canada, we sometimes have a hard time finding certain polishes or cute nail stuff and ordering online can have shipping costs that double the price. That is why I was so glad when I found this company based out of Edmonton to order nail stuff from. They even had some faux Konad plates. I ordered the Hello Kitty plate, in this version it was plate number B87. I had to test it out ASAP, that is why a whole lot of thought did not go into this manicure. You can also tell I did it in a rush, but I just had to try it out.
I used Orly Fifty-Four as the base colour and it is hardly noticeable irl and in these photos, not at all. A bit disappointing. I stamped the Hello Kitty in Konad special polish pink and used a little bit of Sally Girl's rainbow glitter just in her face. Topped it off with Seche Vite.

As cute as she is, I think this may come off pretty soon, I just feel like I could have thought out the colours and placement a bit better to get something that actually looked nice. Oh well, polish and learn, right?

At last!

I have been looking forward to getting some gel nails over my little nubbins for awhile now. I am so happy! I just love them. My nail lady is a bit scary sometimes but that is part of her charm. Plus she is good at what she does. I am really looking forward to decorating these babies up!

Grace

Today I was going for something dainty and feminine.  I really love the soft pale pink of the Zoya 'Grace'. If I were using it for a french, I would use one coat. For this purpose however I needed 3 coats to make it opaque. Even at one coat, the Grace was creamy and smooth, no streaks! Can you believe this is the only Zoya polish I own? I picked it up at the hairdressers, I wish they had more colours, their selection left a lot to be desired.

The polish I used here is basecoat, 3 coats of Zoya Grace, white Konad polish and black Konad polish. Konad plate M51 with some Seche on top :)

Flintstone Barbie

Hello there!
I have been doing some Konadicures lately and thought it would be a neat idea to keep track of my favourite designs on here and also get some inspiration from fellow bloggers. So here they are!
I used 3 coats of Revlon's 110 - Pink Lingerie and then stamped the leopard print from the Konad plate M57 with the special Konad polish. I would have left it like this but the spots were begging for a little bit of glitter, so they got it. I topped it all off with 2 coats of Seche Vite.
